Fleurdirect is a fast growing webshop that focusses on the sale of indoor plants. Since its establishment, Fleurdirect has developed itself in a rapid pace into one of the market leaders in the Netherlands. It succeeded in furnishing many offices and Dutch households with ‘green’.

The challenge

The rapid growth of Fleurdirect aided the company in realizing a marketing department in an early stadium. Besides their own marketing department, they work together with a diverse selection of partners to execute the online marketing activities, such as webdevelopment and SEO.

In order to  keep up-to-date of new developments and opportunities digitally, Nordhaven was asked to advice the Chief Executives strategically. We also guide external partners in the execution of new initiatives, if necessary.

The solution

We started developing a Digital Roadmap, which provided insight in the opportunities for Fleurdirect. In collaboration with the Chief Executives, priorities regarding these opportunities were determined. This fluently resulted in diverse activities, which we coordinated, such as renewing the webshop, setting up social media campaigns and ‘conversion optimalization’. The technical development of the webshop is executed by InStijl Media.

To measure the results of all the online marketing activities, we set up a Data Studio, with which Fleurdirect had insight in countless realtime statistics. They could monitor statistics such as traffic, conversion percentages per apparatus, profiles and characteristics of visitors etc.

The result

The Digital Roadmap made sure that Fleurdirect has a clear digital agenda. This agenda offers a sharp insight in all activities and priorities. The activities that were executed based on the digital roadmap resulted in a revenue growth of 32%. Nordhaven stays involved for advising and making strategic decisions.
